About Rajesh
Advises on technical components of research programs for the Gallup World Poll and other custom client engagements that support global data collection
Rajesh has more than 30 years of global research experience, serving as a regional research director across Asia and Middle East North Africa and as the overall methodological lead for the Gallup World Poll. An accomplished survey methodologist, he is most noted for his work in globally crucial yet difficult-to-access geographies where nationally representative samples are particularly hard to achieve.
Since joining Gallup in 1993, Rajesh has championed various research initiatives to improve the quality of data collected worldwide. He has employed multimodal research across several continents and possesses vast cross-cultural knowledge critical to accessing hard-to-reach countries. After joining the World Poll team in 2006, Rajesh spent significant time observing work in different regions and helped implement complex methodologies in politically unstable and logistically challenging settings.
Since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, Rajesh has taken on the biggest challenge in his methodological career -- safely collecting data across the globe without sacrificing quality.
Rajesh's expertise includes quantitative research, sample design, advanced analysis, modeling, weighting, program management and quality assurance.
He has authored or co-authored more than 200 research studies and contributed to chapters in books, including "The Gallup World Poll" chapter in Survey Methods in Multinational, Multiregional, and Multicultural Contexts. Rajesh obtained his doctorate in economics from the University of Southern California.
